I’ve never been a big believer in horoscopes, but let’s be honest: aren’t they fun?
Giving us a glimpse, every now and again, into what the future MAY hold, can be a positive and inspiring experience. But what if I could tell you right now – with conviction – what the future holds for you?
Wouldn’t that be cool? Well, I can, and I will. This “prediction” will have nothing to do with the factual circumstances ahead. As much as I enjoy the musings of Yuval Noah Harari on what an AI world will bring upon us, or what Thomas Friedman thinks will happen in the Middle East – these predictions are rarely more than just inference.
Instead, I will talk about the one thing I am willing to bet on, and it’s this: YOU CAN AND WILL TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE.
Your 100% shot at creating your own life depends only on one thing: developing AGENCY.
Personal agency is the sense that YOU are the one who is causing or generating an action that then unfolds your life. A person with a sense of personal agency perceives himself/herself as the subject influencing his/her own feelings, thoughts, and actions. (Note: this does not mean controlling your circumstances.) Like I said – we individually have very little effect, I think, on the unfoldings in the Middle East or the continued deployment of AI.
Instead, through the development of agency, taking control of your life means cutting through all the noise, finding emotional and physical balance, thinking more clearly, and advocating for yourself.

Here’s how to do it:
Decide to develop yourself and invest in your mindset with coaching.
Look into group retreats which will allow you to heal in community. This would benefit you greatly, because it’ll remind you of the power of being able to ask for help and not do everything alone.
These things all but guarantee a bright year and life ahead. And that’s MY kind of horoscope.
